Overview
A production sales-intelligence demo that pulls fresh leads from Google News, enriches them through Apollo (275M+ verified contacts), and scores them with an LLM tuned per industry. Five industry presets (commercial real estate, residential agents, San Diego SMBs, SaaS startups, professional services) each tune the discovery query and the outreach angle. A direct-domain lookup mode lets a user paste any company and get a full briefing in under 15 seconds.
The Problem
AI SDR tools (Tario, Cognism, ZoomInfo) treat lead generation as a black box. Buyers see a list of contacts with no way to verify where each one came from, and a generic outreach angle that does not distinguish a biotech tenant from a SaaS startup. They also break the moment one upstream provider rate-limits or fails.
My Approach
Built a layered pipeline with provenance baked in. Every lead carries an audit trail (which search query surfaced it, which Apollo endpoint enriched it, which LLM scored it, plus a sources / data-points / signals badge). Five vertical presets tune the system prompt and outreach guidance per industry. Three resilience tiers keep a live demo from breaking: SerpAPI then Jina web search fallback, OpenAI primary then Anthropic fallback, and a curated demo-pool catch-all. Negative signals (layoffs, lawsuits, acquisitions) flow alongside positive triggers so reps know when not to reach out.
